St.Annes library - just next to the 
College - and built by the Carnegie 
Trust in 1928 is now a listed building.

The plan is to physically join the Library 
to the proposed centre. 

Access will be greater 
than ever before.

If the college building is turned into flats, 
the future of the library in this historic 
building will be in jeopardy.

For December we have 
Grandfather and Grandson, 
Ernest and Jason.

Ernest is a campaigner for Air 
ambulance who says: 
"Buildings are like people. Just 
because they're old we don't 
get rid of them."

Grandson Jason says:
"I don't want to grow up in a 
faceless town with no culture or 
heritage."
